Kari Johnson - Founder & Owner of Penny Tracker LLC
Kari Johnson is the founder of Penny Tracker and an Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional and QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor with more than a decade of accounting and small business financial experience. She specializes in helping business owners gain clarity, confidence, and control over their finances through bookkeeping, financial reporting, controller services, and fractional CFO support.
Prior to launching Penny Tracker in 2020, Kari spent five years as a Business Advisor and Regional Director with the Indiana Small Business Development Center, where she helped entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, prepare for financing, and make informed financial decisions. As a business owner herself, she understands the challenges entrepreneurs face because she's lived them.
Kari has educated more than 1,000 business owners through over 100 workshops across Indiana, making complex financial topics approachable and practical. Her passion is helping business owners not only keep accurate books, but also understand what their numbers are telling them so they can make better decisions, improve profitability, and confidently grow their businesses.
Whether she's implementing a bookkeeping system, building a job costing process, teaching a QuickBooks workshop, or serving as a strategic financial advisor, Kari is known for translating accounting into plain English and creating systems that help business owners spend less time worrying about their finances and more time growing their business.
